History of the Rotary Club of Nunawading
 
 
 
A charter member of the Rotary Club of Nunawading, our Speaker Bob Hoskins needed no introduction. Ever a most engaged and active member of the RC Nunawading , his role has evolved into that of our club's deeply respected, trusted and loved counsellor, mentor and guide .
 
Bob's presentation commenced with an outline of the origins of Rotary in general and the establishment of the RC Nunawading in particular.
 
He then embarked on an overview of just a few of the key projects carried out by the club over the years  – and here the story came alive as Bob embellished his tale with delightfully entertaining anecdotes of people and events from the past.

Donations Needed for Salvo's Christmas Appeal
 
 
Every year, members make a donation towards the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
 
Major Wendy has asked that this year we donate cash or Coles gift vouchers, to enable the Salvo's to purchase whatever is needed.
 
Please give her your donations at or before the Christmas Party on the 8th December.

     Mitcham Community Meals
     
    Sunday December 12
     
    All Saints Church,
    18 Edward St, Mitcham.
     
    The shift will run from about 5:00 pm for a couple of hours and will include preparing a meal, serving and cleaning up afterwards.
     
    Please contact Janette if you can help.
     
    MCM provides a 2-course meal at no cost every Sunday for local people who are doing it tough, and/or who are homeless. The volunteers also provide a friendly smile and a chat with the guests.

    We have sausage sizzles booked in for the following dates:

    The 16 Days of Activism against violence against women and girls is an international campaign that takes place each year.
     
    It commences on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, until 10 December, Human Rights Day.
