AUSTRALIA DAY EVENT

Late last year we applied for a National Australia Day grant to run an event for Australia Day.
 
We then partnered with the City of Whitehorse to work in with a concert they had planned. 
 
Last night I was advised that Council has cancelled that event - a copy of their email is below.  
 
We are currently exploring options for a much smaller "Plan B" event and will advise once we know what is going on.

Chinese New Year Lunch

Many of you have registered your attendance or nonattendance at our Chinese New Year Luncheon to be held at the Shangrila Inn Restaurant at Brentford Square at Forest Hill on Saturday, 05 February 2022.
 
Unfortunately, many have also not registered your attendance or nonattendance which makes my job to arrange with the restaurant owner the final numbers attending the luncheon difficult.
 
The restaurant owner has requested me to provide her with the final numbers attending by close of business on Wednesday, 26 January 2022.
 
Therefore, those of you who wish to attend but have not informed and paid me the $62 per head cost of the luncheon please do so ASAP.

Eastern Emergency Relief Network (EERN) has registered for the Peoples Choice Community Raffle for the past couple of years.  It is an Australia Wide online raffle and has around 700,000 tickets available with 70+ prizes.  The tickets are $2.00.  
 
 EERN will receive 100% of monies raised.  No fees or charges are paid to Peoples Choice or outside providers.
Ticket sales close on 24 February 2022.
 
EERN is looking to raise up to $5,000 to put towards replacing the truck used for picking up donations from the public.
