EYES  FOR AFRICA
The Rotary Club of Nunawading is collecting unwanted, non-prescribed sunglasses for a Rotary supported Ocular Surgical Program in Ethiopia called “Eyes for Africa”.

Eyes for Africa is an Australian not-for-profit, non-government, non-denominational, sight-restoring charitable foundation founded in 2007 by Melbourne Ophthalmic nurse Julie Tyers who wanted to 'make a difference' by treating preventable blindness. She has spoken to our Club.

Ms Tyres plans to visit Ethiopia , now in late January 2023 ,to work with two volunteer surgeons to perform approximately 600 cataract operations over a four week period.
