Australia Day Grant
from Gabby
At the November board meeting, we agreed that I would apply for an National Australia Day Council grant of up to $20,000.

This is provided to run an event or a series of events on Australia Day similar to what we did earlier this year.

I contacted all the clubs in Whitehorse asking them if they wanted to join in – Box Hill Central were not interested and Forest Hill will assist us.

I applied for $17,700 to run an event at the Nunawading Community Hub/Tunstall Park.

I was advised this week that we were successful in obtaining the grant.

We will have discussions with the City of Whitehorse about what an event will look like.

This time we can co-brand the event with both Australia Day and Rotary which is great news.
